Job Title – Site Maintenance Operative

Site – Willowbrook Shopping Centre

Hours – 25 per week, Mon – Fri

Pay Rate – £13.60 per hour

 

Your Duties will include:

  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment
  • Ensure the proper functioning of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Identify and address potential issues before they escalate
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions
  • Collaborate with other team members to resolve complex problems
  • Install new machinery and equipment as needed
  • Ensure that installations comply with safety and operational standards
  • Provide training to other staff members on the proper use of equipment
  • Perform maintenance tasks related to building systems, such as HVAC, lighting, and plumbing
  • Monitor and address facility-related issues promptly
  • Coordinate with external contractors for major repairs and projects
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities
  • Document equipment specifications, manuals, and service histories
  • Keep inventory of spare parts and supplies
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations
  • Participate in safety training programs
  • Report any safety concerns or incidents immediately

Qualifications

  • Technical certification or degree in a related field is a plus
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
  • Comfortable working in various weather conditions
  • Physical stamina and dexterity
