Job Title – Site Maintenance Operative
Site – Willowbrook Shopping Centre
Hours – 25 per week, Mon – Fri
Pay Rate – £13.60 per hour
Your Duties will include:
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment
- Ensure the proper functioning of mechanical and electrical systems
- Identify and address potential issues before they escalate
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions
- Collaborate with other team members to resolve complex problems
- Install new machinery and equipment as needed
- Ensure that installations comply with safety and operational standards
- Provide training to other staff members on the proper use of equipment
- Perform maintenance tasks related to building systems, such as HVAC, lighting, and plumbing
- Monitor and address facility-related issues promptly
- Coordinate with external contractors for major repairs and projects
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities
- Document equipment specifications, manuals, and service histories
- Keep inventory of spare parts and supplies
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations
- Participate in safety training programs
- Report any safety concerns or incidents immediately
Qualifications
- Technical certification or degree in a related field is a plus
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions
- Physical stamina and dexterity
